I wonder what God was thinking,

When He took you away.

I wonder if in His plans,

You weren’t meant to stay.

Your passing has left me lonely

And it did break my heart

To see you go so early

Now we’re forever apart.

I can’t question God though,

‘cause He surely knows what’s best.

So now, I’m trying to be strong

And He’ll take care of the rest.
